What information is collected

Newsletter subscriptions

When you subscribe to the Wellness Circle, your email address is collected and stored by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), the email service provider used for this website. Your name is optional. Kit’s privacy policy governs how your data is stored and processed on their platform.

Wellness consultation bookings

When you book a Wellness Consultation, you are directed to Calendly, a scheduling service. Any information you provide during booking, including your name, email address, and any notes, is collected and stored by Calendly. Calendly’s privacy policy governs this data.

Website analytics

Two kinds of analytics are used to understand how the site is read and to improve it. Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights run for every visitor and use no cookies. Google Analytics runs only if you accept it. Both are described under Analytics and your choices below.

Contact communications

If you contact this website directly by email, the information you provide in your message will be used to respond to your enquiry. This information is not shared with third parties.

Email communications

If you subscribe to the Wellness Circle, you will receive periodic emails containing wellness guidance, articles, and updates from Latika Arora. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

If you book a consultation, you may receive appointment confirmations and reminders from Calendly.

Analytics and your choices

Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights

Vercel, which hosts this website, provides two measurement tools that run on every visit. Web Analytics counts page views, including the page, the referring site, and your browser, operating system, device type and country. It sets no cookies; Vercel tells visits apart using a value derived from the request, which it discards after 24 hours. Speed Insights records how quickly pages load, without associating the measurement with a visitor or an IP address. Vercel describes both in its Web Analytics privacy documentation.

Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics is optional, and it is not loaded unless you accept it. If you do, it is used to understand which pages are read, how readers arrive, and how the site is used, so that the writing and the website can be improved. It is not used for advertising: advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off.

Once you accept, Google Analytics may process:

• the pages you view, their titles and addresses, and the site that referred you;
• how you interact with pages, such as scrolling and following links to other sites, as Google Analytics measures automatically;
• your browser, device type, operating system, screen size and language;
• your approximate location, such as country or city, which Google estimates from your IP address. Google states that for visitors in the EU, Switzerland and the UK, Google Analytics drops the IP address before logging data;
• a random identifier stored in cookies on your device, which lets visits from the same browser be recognised over time.

Nothing you type, including the email address in the newsletter form, is sent to Google Analytics. The site never asks for information about your health and sends none to Google; the titles of the articles you read are sent as page titles, as listed above.

Google Analytics is a service of Google, which processes this information on the site’s behalf and may process it outside your country. Google explains its practices in how Google uses information from sites that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy.

Accepting, rejecting and changing your mind

On your first visit, a bar at the bottom of the screen asks whether to allow analytics, with Accept and Reject given equal weight. Until you choose, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google. Continuing to read is not taken as consent. Reading articles, subscribing to the newsletter and booking a consultation work the same whichever you choose.

Your answer is stored in your browser’s local storage, so it is remembered on later pages and visits. It is not a cookie and is not sent to any server. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it, and the question is asked again.

You can change your choice at any time with Analytics settings at the foot of every page or the button below. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops measuring your visit straight away and its cookies are deleted from your browser. Withdrawing does not delete information Google has already received; to ask about that, use the contact details below.

Cookies

Without your consent, this website sets no analytics or advertising cookies. If you accept Google Analytics, it sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, which expire after two years by default and are deleted if you withdraw consent. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Third-party services

This website uses the following third-party services:

• Kit (ConvertKit): email newsletter management
• Calendly: appointment scheduling
• Vercel: website hosting and infrastructure, and the cookieless Web Analytics and Speed Insights measurement
• Google Analytics (Google): optional website analytics, only with your consent

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. Links to their privacy policies are available on their respective websites.

Data retention

Email subscriber data is retained in Kit for as long as you remain subscribed. You can request removal at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us directly. Calendly retains booking data in accordance with their own data retention policies. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in the site’s Google Analytics account, and Vercel Web Analytics keeps aggregated page-view data according to Vercel’s own policies.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. To make a request, please get in touch using the contact information below.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Children’s privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from children.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of this website after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
